One to One Tuition 

Our one to one tuition focuses on identifying gaps in student's knowledge, to enable them to access learning at age related expectations and beyond. Our fully qualified, skilled and patient teachers work towards improving confidence, self esteem, knowledge and skills to help students identify as successful learners and fulfil their potential.

Our tuition is tailor made to fill any gaps in knowledge and skills, whilst encouraging a positive mindset in order to learn well. After assessing the student's academic and personal needs, our skilled and experienced teachers plan and deliver an individualised learning programme. They will carefully match activities to harness the students interests and strengths to raise confidence and self esteem in order to help them achieve their goals. Our teachers are kind, patient and positive. They ensure that learning is fun, accessible, relevant and motivating for all students, regardless of their level of need and prior experiences of learning.

Bespoke SEMH Learning Packages

Our bespoke learning packages focus on supporting students with SEMH (social, emotional, mental health) needs in finding the right mindset to learn well. Our innovative service uses a range of approaches to engage, empower and motivate students with SEMH needs to fulfil their potential.

Our most flexible service, where the length of session can be matched to the student's needs and extended or reduced over time. Our teachers take a holistic approach, assessing the needs of the student and devising an education programme to meet these needs. This may include learning in the community, getting outdoors to engage with nature or taking part in creative activities. We encourage students to learn about themselves; identifying their strengths, exploring how they learn best and helping them to develop effective coping and study strategies. All being matched to their individual needs and learning goals.

Return to School Packages

At Searchlight Learning we offer a specialist service to support students  to reintegrate into school after a period of absence. We support students and their parent or carer to find effective ways to get back onsite at school, offering practical approaches and strategies that promote positivity and nurture well being.

Our students receive sessions where the duration can be matched to their needs. After discussion with students, carers and school, a skilled and experienced  SEMH teacher will design a bespoke programme to help the student re-engage with learning onsite. Sessions can take place at home, school, in the community or a combination of those. Our teachers are mindful of the wide range of challenges our students face and seek to overcome barriers to accessing education. We do so in a positive, caring and collaborative way, to equip students with improved resilience, independence and self confidence to empower them to learn at their best.
